  • There were a couple of exhibitions within in the Centre which were free, but when I tried to enter, the staff at the barrier told me I had to go back to the entrance and get a free ticket. The staff d...  more »
  • The old market in el born, close to France and parc de la Ciutadella, was a city of Barcelona market until less than 10 years ago. Located on the promenade of Borne, where there are many terraces to enjoy a ten tenpie, appetizer or breakfast. He is currently a cultural centre, which hosts archaeological remnants of the era.

  • I strolled into El Born Cultural Centre after going to the market with my 18 yr old daughter, expecting nothing really. What a surprise to see such a site--we spent an hour taking it in.  more »

  • Very interesting place if you want to discover the city of Barcelona 300 years ago. To understand the history, the war, and what happened to the city and the people after more than a year of siege. Well preserved ruins and good signage/explanations.
  • Amazing archeological site under the old market. After several discussions what to do with the place finally decided to excavate and found the old city of Barcelona. Not too old by European standards: just the city from 1700's. The location is great and of great historical value. I would has like more history museum infographies.
  • A beautiful space ample with history. Below you have the roman ruins and can imagine what it may have been like in that time and the best part, it's free!
  • loved!!!!! amazing food, great area, stellar service by one woman working 30 tables. so impressed. and the food was thematic, enjoyable and filling, brava!
  • Go inside (is free) and discover Barcelona of 1700. The houses and streets before the Spanish army destroid that area. It's well explained and very nice restored.
