El Barri Gòtic, Barcelona

(4.8/5 based on 26,000+ reviews on the web)
Known for its winding streets and hidden squares steeped in history, El Barri Gòtic is ideal for an historic walk followed by a rest at one of the many trendy bars or cafes. A trip through this colorful neighborhood is a trip through time, as this old city center is still largely intact, retaining much of its labyrinthine medieval street plan, with a multitude of small streets opening into bustling squares. Most of the quarter is closed to regular traffic, though service vehicles and taxis are allowed to pass through. Many of the landmark buildings located here date from the Middle Ages, with several sites harking back to the Roman times. El Cali, the medieval Jewish quarter, is also located within this area. • One of the best neighborhoods in Barcelona! Central, well-connected, near Barceloneta and the Rambla. Full of bars (bars, pubs, tapas bars) ... Eventful! (Beautiful basilica di Santa Maria del Mar! Go ... it's free and worth it) beautiful Cathedral from outside (the euro entrance fee not persuaded me to enter)

  • The real Barcelona is here. Artistic, with nice rooms, and attention, with a nice number of pickpockets, but those in all zones.

  • Revitalized district with the main attraction the Museum picasso. Worth knowing the lanes and alleys of el Gothic. There are some shops with alternate costumes and souvenirs of the city. Recommend
