Beautiful spot in the city, lovely calm place in Barrí Gothic. You may have a chance of passing by just having a walk in Barrì Gothic, but I would suggest to join a tour of the whole Barrì (there are plenty of them, even free ones), they will certainly bring you to this place providing additional knowledge about history and fun facts that will give you a deeper sight into this beautiful place.
A must see as you are passing by. A small church with lots of history behind. It was bombarded during the civil war in 1939 . approx 40 people ( children among them) died then as they were hiding inside the church. The marks on the walls are still apparent .
Very nice and calm spot in the center of Barcelona. It is a must.
Sant Felip Neri is a hidden in the Barri Gòtic settled over a graveyard destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. In there, visitors can see structures build during Catalan Renaissance. Surprisingly, not all of them where originally build in there, some of them, as the Footwear Museum, were moved from Via Laietana to its current location during the 20th century. The most shocking aspect in Sant Felip Neri is the marks made by the shrapnel shell during a bombardment shot by the Italian air force during the Civil War on the 30th of January in 1938. During the air raid, 42 people died lots of them were kids. Its location in the Call, the intriguing former Jewish neighborhood, and its grieving history makes it one of the most mysterious and visited places by Barcelona citizens.
Never being hopeing to.go there next year
