Fountain Monument
View Cascada Monumental, a prominent landmark and fountain in Ciutadella Park originally built in 1881. Located at the northern corner of the park, this fountain features a triumphal arch, added after its inauguration due to heavy criticism that the structure wasn't grand enough. Several changes have been made to the monument over the years, including a renovation to make it resemble the Trevi Fountain and some additional work from a then-unknown Gaudi. Take a stroll around the nearby lake before visiting this significant piece of artistic and architectural history. Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.

  • A stunning water cascade with fountains and beautiful statues. It is a large open area as well so a great place to sit or take pictures. You can also walk up to the top for another great picture opportunity.
  • Very nice place, especially when its hot outside. Nice architecture, not as overrun as many other places in BCN. (but still a lot of people ;) )
  • Impressive monument in a beautiful park. There's a lake in the park where you can rent boats to cruise. Great location to go jogging or for a stroll
  • Gorgeous fountain and a great place to people watch if you are that way inclined!
  • Beautiful park and stunning fountain. The mojito's in the shop facing the fountain are one of the best I've ever tasted 👌
