  • Make the visit, which is free with Sagrada Familia online tickets. All for 30 minutes before entering Parc Guell.  more »
  • We decided to start our planned touring with Gaudi and what he was all about. His house seemed like a great place to start. We bought our timed ticket on line at the same time we got our 'skip the lin...  more »
  • This was in Park Guell and did not need pre-booking unlike the other Gaudi section of park Guell. Pricey for what you see but we got discount on the Barcelona card.... this could have been cheaper too...  more »

  • I hit that place upon a bicycle tour Easter 1998. It is worth a visit. Not expensive. You may learn a lot of Gaudi's life, the museum and art. Had a perfect time there.
  • We bought tix as part of Sagrata familia booking online. Nice walk up the hill. Beautiful park / flowers. House itself is about 30 minutes
  • Nice to see how he lived when visiting Park Güell but there are other places in Barcelona that are more interesting than this. If you are at Park Güell and want to see it ok but not worth a trip by itself.
  • It was nice to see where Gaudi lived for about 20 years of his life. I paid 5.5 euros to get in. It is a small place and there is not a lot to see, but I liked it to do once in a lifetime. The furniture is nice to look at, although you cannot sit on it.
  • Very interesting but I wished there were more areas of the house open to the public

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
