  • One of the biggest mistakes trip was paid to enter this place ... wasted money. The Museum is located in the Park guell. It's worth going in the Park, but not in the Museum. Basically it's a House of 3 rooms that don't have anything inside. I was 10 min saw everything (or rather, I saw nothing because there was nothing to see) and I left.

  • Lovely house preserving some of Gaudi's modernist design furniture, telling about his work and life. He lived in the house for almost all of the last 20 yrs of his life. Displays in Catalan, Spanish, ...  more »

  • I understand how the previous people who posted reviews feel, not knowing Gaudi's philosophy in life. He was a very simple person contrary to his creations. His home is very simple which reflects this. If you come in with a mindset like that, you will be surely underwhelmed. Put yourself in his shoes, genius that he was and how he wanted to live. The reason for the 4 stars is that the staff were rude for lack of a better word. Sit and listen to the video presentation to understand a little more about Gaudi and his vision.
  • This might be worth 2€ if it's the first and only thing you're going to pay for, but not 5.5€ and certainly not in addition to the 5.5 you already. There is almost literally nothing of value here, just a few wall descriptions and some furniture. Save your time and effort, I thought it was a museum but it's just a mostly empty house. I never would've bothered if I knew that, you shouldn't either.
  • Take your time and visit the whole park. There is a free one and one that you have to pay for up to 20:30. After that, it's all free and the sunset in wonderful
  • For real Gaudi fans as is expensive for what there is to see.... Gaudi House is sparse and simple, yet reflects the main man and how he lived...what a guy!!!! Should be included in Monumental price ticket.
  • I hit that place upon a bicycle tour Easter 1998. It is worth a visit. Not expensive. You may learn a lot of Gaudi's life, the museum and art. Had a perfect time there.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
