I stopped after the Picasso Museum. The store is old, old. Many types of nuts and dry fruits are lined, even taste. Sold by weight. Please stop by to explore the Gothic quarter.

This traditional Barcelona, located near the Basilica of St. Mary of the sea, sells olive oil, wine, olives. First of all, this is the best place in the city to buy almonds or toasted hazelnuts. These fruit are grilled on site for ages. The home is lovely, great products and very reasonable prices.

  • Incredible shop for dry fruits, nuts and other delicious sweets , coffee etc. Shop with a very special traditional flair and wunderful old fashioned interior - like a journey back in time.
  • Nice grocery store with dried food, nuts, and others. Pruna was really good. They are professional and friendly.
  • Ah, this is a very beautiful, traditional grocer shop. It exits "since always" and besides of home toasted nuts, almond and the like, you find oils, spicery, juices, chocolate, local products - it's a pleasure to buy here, because of the quality of the products, the beautiful place and nice attention of the staff. Prices are very reasonable and worthwhile. The owner speaks Japanese. And Catalan of course, because this is a really very traditional Catalan shop, but you will be attended with the same natural attention in Spanish or English, too. I always buy my freshly ground coffee there, dry fruit etc., and am very happy that such a classic shop still survives in our times.
  • You may find dried oranges in a melted chocolate, fig bread or datil bread with nuts as well simply nuts, dried fruits, spices, honey... etc.
  • A wonderful store filled with all sorts of unusual cooking needs.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
