  • We decided to go and spend Sunday at Barcelona zoo and the visit could not be more depressing. Memories have gone small with the College and with my parents (been about 15 years since the last time I visited it), and has changed the story... this time I found animals in nothing clean and tight spaces, many of the spaces within works that do not end up never (areas for animals with container's Rune) , and me consists that them works carry much time thus, animals depressed that virtually or is moved, the spectacle of them dolphins was closed temporarily... in end a disaster. I do not recommend it for anything, is more think that they should close it since in my opinion, the animals are not in decent conditions.

  • Not the greatest assortment of rare animals but to have a zoo in the heart of the city certainly makes up for it. The plot of land is a large "L" formation so you follow the outer shape of the L on designated routes. There is a northern and western entrance. Great areas to eat a packed lunch amongst the birds or buy a meal at the various restaurants. Somewhat wheelchair accessible with some restrictions. Organize a early visit and leave for s great tapas meal at lunch just outside the gates in the Born district.
  • The park is great as an ordinary zoo. It is classically built with a lot of different animals which are easy to see. There is no more dolphin show, as it used to and I thought that the animals did not look happy. The cages are small. There is a lot of staff everywhere who clean the area and take care of animals, but in a way the glory days of the zoo have passed.
  • Best zoo experience, all animals where out for people to see. My son really enjoyed his time here.
  • Pricey at €60 for family of 4. That is unless you use 20% discounts from the Barcelona City Tour Bus, or other voucher. Zoo had the only albino gorilla, but sadly he passed away in 2003. You can still see him though in Barcelonas' Natural History Museum. Other animals are spread out the Zoo which is a nice flowing walk. Some areas closed off due to refurbishment. Children interested especially in the Lima and Rhino. I would watch out for bird poo when walking as some local birds nest in trees.
  • Good zoo, very big. Lots of animals and things to see. They was doing a lot of work and expanding too when we was there. Little bit expensive buy we really enjoyed it
