Barcelona Wax Museum, Barcelona

Specialty Museum
History, fame, and fantasy come to life at Barcelona Wax Museum, where eerily realistic wax figures, from emperors to celebrities, are on display. They pose together in tableaus that recreate stills from iconic films, combine artists of the past with contemporary ones, or depict historical moments. In the Bosc de les Fades or "Forest of Fantasy," walk into a realm of magic inhabited by fairies, gnomes...and a cafe. That's right, among the twisted tree trunks you'll find a smiling bartender eager to mix you a drink. Consider purchasing an all-inclusive ticket to the main museum attraction, the Bosc de les Fades, and the design boutique Passatage Del Temps. With this ticket, you'll also receive a souvenir photograph, a guidebook, and a 10 percent discount at the cafe and gift shop.  Make Barcelona Wax Museum a centerpiece of your Barcelona vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Barcelona tourist route planner.

  • Fun little museum. Not that much to look at apart from a lot of old pictures and some wodden penises. Still fun but a bit small.
  • Good for Erotic knowledge...You can chill in the Erotic Garden. Very good collection of soveigners. Worng spelling! 😋
  • Bad. Staff at reception was charging 12euro per person and when confronted that tickets selling online cost only 7, he said we could pay 10 per person instead (we wanted to buy tickets online but the website was crashed), at last we paid 10 per person accordingly. Hoping to see something 'interesting', 'fun' and 'exciting' as stated by others here, but got DISAPPOINTED. The so called museum is small and it contains only copies of ancient pornographic photos which you can view online for free. Little installations are there but they are not interesting and arousing either. In short, I think its not worth the money especially with the 'extra charge'.
  • A cool and most certainly interesting experience. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of cava, there was a good variety of pieces in the museum. Only downside is the pricing on the internet and what we were charged did not match up.
  • The museum is located in a really nice area, and has an interesting set up. However, it would benefit from redecorating, specially the garden area (it is not erotic, and real plants would be much better). It would also be interesting to have pieces from local contemporary artists.
