  • We visited the gallery and really liked a painting in beginning of May 2016. I called the gallery and they said it was no problem to arrange shipment. They sent an invoice and I paid it. Now, the gall...  more »
  • Interesting gallery and many works were well done. Many works of female nudity and of humor. The modernism and nudity simply wasn't my style, and I enjoyed Carre D'artistes far more.  more »
  • Amazingly it is hard to get good contemporary art Galleries walking distance of ramblas, but this beats the odds. Great art of different medium. And for people of a tight budged who want a piece of ar...  more »

  • Awesome people. Really unique and beautiful art. Highly recommend.
  • I first discovered this brilliant gallery when I visited Barcelona a few years ago. Barcelona is of course a wonderful city,so I try to get back there whenever I can,and I always head for Artevistas to check out what new and exciting artists they've found. I've bought work there by a few artists, including Miguel Leal and Sarmiento, and I LOVE all the pieces I've bought! The gallery always sells work at remarkably fair prices - at least some of the art I've bought there is now worth considerably more than I paid for it,but the main thing is that I have work by some very exciting emerging artists. Eric and Frederic are always very helpful and friendly, and they'll send work around the world if it's too big to go in your suitcase! (Again at very reasonable rates). All in all I would highly recommend a visit to Artevistas in fabulous Barcelona - and I can't wait to return there myself! N.B. The gallery has changed hands since I originally posted this review, so I can no longer vouch for the art and staff and prices.
  • Great selection of reasonably priced regional and international art
  • We visited the gallery and liked a painting. When we were back at home, we arranged to purchase and paid in full 1,200 euros for the piece and the shopping. It is now 3 months later and we get no response to calls or emails to the gallery asking for a status update. Please do not trust this gallery.
  • We stumbled across Artevistas Gallery as we wondered through Barcelona--falling in love with a picture displayed in the front window. It was large and expensive (although very well-priced for the quality and size), and my husband and I weren't quite ready to make a decision. We were also nervous to deal with a business we had no knowledge of involving significant funds and shipping overseas. We talked to one of the gallery associates, Chimera, who took my email address and said she would email me a photo of the piece as we considered its purchase. Chimera followed through exactly as she said she would. She made the process so seamless and took the fear out of buying a rather expensive item while traveling in a foreign country and getting it efficiently and safely transported. It arrived in less time than expected in perfect condition, and we are thrilled with the entire transaction.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
