  • Nice, compact museum away from the crowds elsewhere in Barcelona. Many of the displays are up to date, with the best one (hands-on displays on ancient boat construction techniques) less than a year ol...  more »
  • Very interesting museum for the past of Catalunya and Iberia too. It is made in a modern way and it is accesible to hanticap persons.  more »
  • Superb Museum, great tour through the ages (prehistory, Roman, Greek,...). Very beautiful pieces, well presented. The explanations are in catalan (very little English, not french), but this does not prevent to admire the objects. For my compatriots who complain (too often) prizes go €4.5 entry, it's not too expensive for more than 2 hours of visit. Note, very nice at the entrance, on the other hand, at the exit, Cerberus (or rather his companion) was out of the underworld and wanted the Fund. Don't ask him anything, not even a brochure about the Museum, it can bite.

  • It is a beautiful building and the colections are displayed well. They also did a good job with the videos and the interactive areas. I learned a lot.
  • This museum is one of the best I've been to, the description wasn't always in English so that may be a struggle to some tourists. Staff was really friendly and the toilets were very clean. Big collection to discover, great timeline and eye to detail like the maquettes of the buildings and the flickering light behind the oil lamp (most of the times I hear people wondering about what this is) Great job!
  • Pretty embarrassing for a museum only to have 5% descriptions in english. Not even on Spanish, everything is in Catalan so we could not understand anything.
  • A fantastic selection of artefacts laid out in order, so you can walk around as if travelling through time. Some items were with English information but not many, which is the only fault I have with this rather excellent museum. If you have only a passing interest in this sort of museum it is still an essential place to visit whilst in Barcelona.
  • A great prehistoric exhibition, dont forget to take a book with enlish translation! Very few visitors
