Catedral De Baeza, Baeza

(4/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Admire the varied and grand architecture of Catedral De Baeza. Pick up an audio guide, which is included in the price of admission, for information about different parts of the cathedral. The cathedral was built on the site of a Moorish mosque, which itself had previously been a Roman temple. Discover the Gothic cloister, Mudéjar chapels, and gilded Baroque altar. Don’t miss the 2 m (6.6 ft) monstrance made from silver, gold, and bronze. It took a silversmith 14 years to complete the work. Climb up the spiral staircase of the bell tower for views of the town and surrounding mountain ranges. • Small fee to get in but worth the price if you enjoy looking at cathedrals. If not go have a beer. Failing that, has some fantastic historic artifacts  more »
  • I spent a weekend with my partner, I have to say that Baeza seemed more beautiful and better architecture to ubeda. In fact the Cathedral has seemed fabulous and climb the tower and see the sights is something that you should not do if you visit it.

  • The Cathedral is a place to visit if in Baeza, is bright and white, it has a beautiful lamp in the central nave. And custody that have very nice silver. The Cathedral has several access doors, do not miss the Moon and the history of the Bishop that appears on top of it.
