  • Monumental gate (16th century) which was the main entrance to the city coming from Portugal or from Caceres. Alongside the Vauban walls of the city, it forms an architectural ensemble of great interes...  more »
  • The lighting work (especially during the new year celebration) makes this gate very beautiful and stunning in the night.  more »

  • It is perhaps more representative of the city monument. It consists of a gate arranged opposite the bridge of palms, flanked by two solid cylindrical towers crowned of battlements, and surrounded on the top and at the base by two decorative cords. Closed to the public in some very dates.

  • The most recognizable symbol of the city next to the Espantaperros Tower. Some weekends visits inside the towers. Inside there are posters on the history of the door and the bridge. They also cease to climb to the top. Access stairs give a little vertigo.
