  • A big surprise, impressive exterior and the interior of the temple. When you enter there is organ playing and impresses. Visit obliged. The temple is included in the route of the Ignatian Earth. Urgently needs a restoration.

  • Interesting tour. The gardens are a haven of peace and the sanctuary is baroque wish. Attention to the mass times

  • This temple baroque, inaugurated in 1738 but highlight the life of the chevalier Saint Ignatius of Loyola, work Jesuit science community wells and their influence through the world. The Basilica built in honor of the Pilgrim St Ignace is majestic with a dome 20 metres from the ground. Take the time to understand and to imagine in these outstanding work rooms which communicates with the temple, look what to wear once "pilgrims" on our society, especially through the spiritual quest of Jesus.

  • Absolutely beautiful monastery. Well organised and cheap entrance. Stunning place to visit.
  • Great place to learn about St Ignatius and the Jesuits. Really nice bus trip from San Sebastian.
  • Excellent. Very much worth the visit to the Basilica and self guided tour of the home of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
  • The holiness of the place represents its patron, San Ignacio de Loyola
  • Here is where you can learn the history of this amazing man who founded the Jesuits. The compound includes the castle-home of the saint, with the furnishings of the time and the mysterious crack on the wall which the legend says was caused when Ignatius (Iñaki in Basque) converted and the devil was expelled from his life. It is about an hour drive from Bilbao, a pleasant drive through the beautiful Baque countryside. Stop at nearby Zestoa (about 7 miles North) for a tour of the Ekain cave and incredible prehistoric paintings of horses, then drive on to the also stunningly beautiful Basque coast.
