  • Pierced the door of San Vicente, is the first Palace you can find within the walls. Built in the 16th century, has a robust appearance, above all its two towers that lead to the assumption that it could have a defensive character. It is currently the headquarters of the Municipal Archives and the Department of heritage and tourism of the city of Avila. Its access is free, and worth admiring your patio of columns. Above the main door is located in the Centre, the noble coat of arms of surname executioner, consisting of a lion. The access is free.

  • Nice location, it depends which exposition is there in order to rate it. When we were there a nice one regarding Sta.Teresa, it closes at 8pm, so pretty useful to finish the day.
  • The Palace was built in the middle of 16 century prosperous citizen. Later in the walls of the Palace with the participation of St. Theresa convent was organized, enjoy local Sweetmeats. After the recent restoration of the Palace sits in it, the Secretariat of the Group of World Heritage cities in Spain. On weekdays in the morning you can take a peek into the inner courtyard, and if lucky, visit the premises of a former monastery.
