  • A large collection of excavated objects, art and information lead you through the history of the province of Avila from the stone age to the 19th century. Beautiful and interesting, with only the big problem for the non-Spanish speakers: outside a few texts in the folder there is nothing translated and then you'll miss a lot if you don't speak Spanish.

  • Museum of Avila took the Palace Casa de los Deanes. It's small, represented by three departments: Archaeology, fine arts Division and the Division of folk art and ethnography. The latter, of course, the most interesting. Tourists do not have much time, do not take for common development.

  • His visit to Ávila we logically concluded a visit to the City Museum, which is located in a small square next to the Nalvillos Church of Santo Tomé el Viejo, outside the city walls across the street from the Cathedral. Admission is free. The Museum is small: there are archaeological artifacts found during the excavations, a small number of paintings, ceramics, antique furniture and objects of Ethnography.

  • The audio guides do not work. The staff changed us up on three occasions without luck, and decided to continue the visit without them, that if we were charged €1 for each while they didn't.
