  • Route very beautiful with little difficulty, but better if you are a little bit accustomed to hiking. We caught a rainy day, but we were quite prepared with rainwear and we do not get wet (except the feet, as had many puddles, and some of them quite deep). It is advisable to take extra if you do it in rainy season. We did the path of Poncebos to Cain and there he picked up a 4 x 4 to make an excursion by the Picos de Europa and let us back in Poncebos (I think I hired him through adventures in Asturias). There are places to eat in Cain, but in the time that we were only making sandwiches.

  • In the heart of the Picos de Europa and with access to the Naranjo de Bulnes. A big essential routes for the lovers of nature in its purest state.

  • It is a good route that follows the course of the River Cares upstream, not this a road Bank of the river but a few hundred meters so you should take caution and not of inattention to take pictures (as you fall not upload). It seems that 12 km and back is a lot but when you want to give an account already you have become Cain and between landscapes and goats have entertainment.

  • Great walk through tunnels and along paths carved out of the steep sided gorge
  • Very beautiful hike if you are not scared from heights, to bad it doesn't have a round trip, so if you go you need to walk back the same way..
  • Impressive route. It is worth to do it for free without paying roundtrip firms. It is not so heavy. But to do it early. (07.00)

  • I recommend starting from Poncebos Cain. The beginning is uphill. When some 3 kilometres pass becomes plain almost until the end. They are about 12 km on the Cares Gorge. Very nice route and easy. On arrival at Cain, there are buses that take you back to Cain during the summer season. You can also hire taxis or 4 x 4 reservation required routes.
