The Chapel of the Brotherhood of St. Stephen communicates through a door with the Casten Cell, both of the fourteenth century; the window recalls the female voluntary embeds and, on the outside, the wall melts both structures. The confraternities welcomed and attended with their alms the needs of the inmates, who live off public charity. When the sandwich enters to be confined to the cell it is St. Stephen's Chapel itself that testifies to its seclusion, covering and sealing the only access door to the cell, inserted inside the chapel. The confraternities witness the liturgical ceremony that enthralls the inmate. The Sandwich Cell was used with those women of "misplaced morality". The Chapel of San Esteban is owned by the Royal Brotherhood of the Five Llagas.
Here the interesting thing is to see the cell where got witches prior to them God's judgment and burn her at the stake, in times of the Inquisition. It is to the left of the chapel door. Left photo.
