  • The cave of Mendukilo, which in ancient times was used as poultry by the shepherds of the area, is a marvel of groundwater in the sierra de Aralar a visit very interesting especially for the respect towards the cave, if you're lucky will be some of the different animals that live in it. Despite it well upgraded that are with stairs and railings, as in the most of them caves, there are that have care for people with mobility reduced, since is descends until-40 meters in a time of the visit is switched off all them lights for feel and hear the cave

  • We find these caves as we pass by Lekunberri, and the truth is that we loved. We arrived 10 minutes before the start of a guided visit (entry €8) and, after shelter us a little (the cave makes cool, 8 degrees) and enjoy a video, we enter the cave that is accompanied by a guide. Explanations and how to interact with the public of the Guide were 10. All very enjoyable and interesting. We loved it. And the more cave yet. It is spectacular.

  • It is a recommended visit to learn how one lived in aralar years ago. In the cave is cold, but the floor is fine. You can do with young children. To repeat

  • It impresses by the size that makes you feel small. It is prepared for visits while reducing the impact that these could cause to the conservation of the cave, all very well integrated and accessible to the family audience.

  • Spectacular. Amaia guide is a charm, lives and makes it live. As usual, nature, made the entrance without thinking about the worrywarts who visit such spaces without understanding that they are not theme parks. Book time with eye, can not pay with card

  • If you've already seen some cave style will not surprise you. It is a cave well preserved, that if you are trying to minimize the impact of tourism (to the extent possible). The guide was very friendly and explained everything at good pace. The visit lasted about 50 minutes, preceded by a documentary with fairly little interest, mostly in Basque language with subtitles, that children cannot follow. Regardless of that the documentary does not have anything interesting, nor of the cave or the environment, it is completely dispensable, at one point speaks a pastor (in Basque) which has absolutely nothing. Bored and without content, it could be much more didactic, a penalty. If you're in the area, it is one activity more to make, but scroll far to do so did not create it worthwhile.

  • A spectacular place. Highly recommended to spend a morning or an afternoon
