  • The fountain of Hercules and Antaeus is located in the garden of the Parterre, near the entrance of the Palace of Aranjuez by the Avenue of the Prince. It is possibly the most beautiful garden fountain. It was built in 1827 in a time of Fernando VII.

  • One of the sources that most surprised me when I recently visited Aranjuez and its wonderful gardens. You find this in particular when accessing the parterre gardens. It is an exquisite piece, a wonder that contorted body, work of Isidoro González Velázquez. Representing Hercules killing their children to put at the service of Mycenae, who imposed him to perform twelve works that could not make in any way any mortal being. The statue makes reference to the penultimate work.

  • Source more important and striking of the Parterre garden. Great decoration on the labours of Hercules by referring to his myth and his famous columns. A pity that it is not running.
