  • First Sunday in November, a spectacular natural environment. Forest of beech trees, carpeted leaves freshly falls, with a variety of autumnal colours in contrast with the green of the MOSS covering rocks and the bases of the trees themselves, images worthy of note in detail and unsurpassed capture by the best artists. The arrival at the sanctuary in the middle of the first snowfall of the season is magical. The Majesty of the sanctuary to more than 1200 meters of altitude, it is spectacular. For having, it has its own legend, the Goñi Teodosio. The sanctuary is an interesting building from the 12TH century, austere, sober, just decorated, but with an impressive altarpiece masterpiece of Romanesque art of enamels and rock crystal. Not to mention the image of San Miguel, a reliquary of the 18TH century, in silver. Everything worthwhile in this area alongside mount Artxueta in the sierra de Aralar.

  • The sanctuary allows some magnificent views of Sacana (Valley which can be seen from the top). You can see up to Pamplona. The sanctuary revolves around the figure of Goñi Teodosio whose legend is explained within the beautiful Romanesque Hermitage. Annex to the chapel there is a restaurant with a dining room dinde allows you to eat the food that you take.

  • The sanctuary of San Miguel de Aralar is a must visit as it is beautiful, also the history that surrounds it, the landscape seen from the viewpoint and the mountain road that have to climb to reach the shrine. The road that climb shows us a forest of trees, rocks and precious mosses and emphasize that they they do very well maintained not as other forests in you that you charge for walking by it. Worth it, because in the same way you see many beautiful things, also there are picnic areas in which to stop and eat.

  • From the base of the mountain enjoying the road towards the tip, you go through a forest with a good road, where the landscape is very beautiful. Arriving at the tip is observed throughout the region of the area. A spectacular view that is worth visiting. The air that we breathe is pure. It is incredible that there is a shrine of the 12th century built here. If you like to enjoy nature and mountains, this site can not lose it.
