  • Well organized according to times and plants, starting from the ground floor with the prehistory to move up in time. Very interesting the prehistoric remains with vinyl that explain the way of life. Of the Roman remains, the beautiful Ephebe. I consider this highly recommended visit.

  • Lots of different types of things to see from art to Roman artefacts including the beautiful bronze figure of a young boy 'the Ephebe of Antequera'. Very reasonably priced & free on Sundays.  more »

  • Located initially in the imposing Palace of Nájera, has been expanded with the annexation of two buildings adjoining. It consists of a permanent exhibition divided into twenty rooms, from prehistoric times to the present day. It consists also of a temporary exhibition room. The Museum has pieces such as the famous Efebo de Antequera, which occupies a room exclusively. It has also a large Epigraphic collection, out-dated, parietal painting, jewelry, silverware, painting and sculpture. Winter schedule: Monday: closed Tuesday to Friday: mornings from 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:30 to 18:30 pm evenings Saturday: 9:30 to 14:00 hours mornings and afternoons from 16:30 to 18:30 hours Sunday: mornings from 9:30 to 14:00 hours summer time (from June 13 to September 13): Monday: closed Tuesday to Friday: mornings from 9:30 to 14:00 and 19:00 to 21:00 hours afternoon Saturday : 9:30 to 14:00 hours mornings and evenings from 18:00 to 21:00 Sunday: mornings from 10:00 to 14:00 prices are €3 per adult and €1.50 for children up to 12 years.
