Oasys MiniHollywood, Almeria

4.0
Set within the dry hills of the Tabernas, Europe’s only desert, Oasys MiniHollywood serves as a tribute to the filming location of many famous “spaghetti Westerns.” Located in the heart of Andalusia, the park’s major claim to fame is its service as the set for the 1966 film "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly," starring Clint Eastwood. Explore a detailed town pulled straight out of the 19th-century American West, which offers cowboy shows and historical reenactments. Wander its dusty avenues and admire the traditional wooden construction of the intricate set. The town square is complete with storefronts and local characters. For further entertainment, the park also contains a small zoo with several species of big cats. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the town covers a fairly large area. • You moved to the westerns that I saw, the very good decorations. The beautiful desert environment. The spectacle of the West very good show but the other two loose. The pool meets its function, cooling. The zoo go, very skinny animals but one surprised me, the trip by train could already give you a walk through all the zoo falls short. But only for the settlement of the West, it is worth.

  • Although the day was hot, the visit was worth. The children enjoyed it and we also.

  • The decorations are great, although I personally prefer the Bravo Fort. It is an ideal place to spend a fun day if you do not have too many expectations. That Yes, the zoo... poor animals.

  • A really great day out, especially for kids. The Can Can show in the saloon was great and the outside cowboy show even better, both well worth seeing. You can go inside most of the buildings in the wild West town and some have exhibits inside. The buffet lunch was excellent, all you can eat, lots of choice and really good, fresh food, much better than I was expecting and the dining area is better than many restaurants, very clean with helpful, friendly staff. The zoo is also well worth seeing and the reptile house was superb, the zoo has a mini "train" ride which was fun. We spent about an hour walking around the zoo and it was perfect weather (October 5th) we will certainly visit again.
  • What a fantastic day out. There is something for all, young and not so young, and I should know as I am not so young! The prices are reasonable especially considering the quality of the offerings, they are definitely not out to rip you off, even the car parking was cheap. The animals in the zoo park looked well-cared for, you might have your views about whether wild animals should be caged, but I have to say these looked happy and well provided for. Would I go back? In a heartbeat, I loved the relaxed feel of the whole place and would do it all again. We went in the middle of September and it was quite warm, I am not sure what it would be like in July and August, I am guessing that a parasol and some sun cream would be an asset.
  • Is great experience to be there. Really nice Cancan dance, performances, and zoo area. You should check the schedule of shows to ensure you get the most they can provide. I'd recommend reserve 4 - 5 hrs.
  • Great family fun. The high light is of course the live cowboy show. My youngest was 4 and it was probably a little much for him to watch a bad cowboy being hanged but no nightmares and he wants us to go again this year. Reasonable sized park which the kids enjoyed. The parrot show was fun and made the kids laugh. Definitely worth a visit.
  • A must see when you are visiting this region. In the middle of the desert, nice reproduction of what was the far west. Large variety of wild animals, the swimming pool is very welcome after walking under the sun. You can bring your own food, which is good. The saloon offers you a perfect stop to get a fresh drink / beer. 3-4 hours is enough to see everything and enjoy the site.
