Oasys Mini Hollywood, Almeria
Categories: Theme Parks, Water & Amusement Parks, Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Set within the dry hills of the Tabernas, Europe’s only desert, Oasys Mini Hollywood serves as a tribute to the filming location of many famous “spaghetti Westerns.” Located in the heart of Andalusia, the park’s major claim to fame is its service as the set for the 1966 film "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly," starring Clint Eastwood. Explore a detailed town pulled straight out of the 19th-century American West, which offers cowboy shows and historical reenactments. Wander its dusty avenues and admire the traditional wooden construction of the intricate set. The town square is complete with storefronts and local characters. For further entertainment, the park also contains a small zoo with several species of big cats. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the town covers a fairly large area. Put Oasys Mini Hollywood and other Almeria attractions into our Almeria vacation route planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

Beautyfull Landscape and very friendly People. The Shows, espeacially the Cowboy Show was very nice :) After the Show you could sit next to them on a carriage or on a horse. The Zoo was awseome. Many animals! Great Day. We want to visit again!
Good family day out, brilliant shows and a lovely place to walk around, however I really see no need for animals in the park, they are not in the best condition. For example the hyenas face was covered in cuts as it was continuously banging it's face off the bars of the cage and the glass, it was clearly in distress. Other animals also where locked out of their indoor pens in the beating Sun at temperatures above 29 degrees, I really feel there is no need for the animals and most where not kept well and where in distress, I hope that the park is inspected on the grounds of animal welfare as I do not see it fair on the animals. other than that clear issue with the animals the park is a great day out!
This area of Almería province used to be a giant film set - the Italian director Sergio Leone made Spaghetti westerns here in the mid 60's and there are still some original film sets scattered around but most are now in a dilapidated condition - except for 'Western Leone', 'Fort Bravo' and 'Oasys Mini Hollywood' which were rebuilt as tourist sites. When my grandson visited a couple of years ago, I took him to 'Mini Hollywood'. It was a good day out. If you ever visit this area of Spain with your children, I urge you take them to 'Oasys Mini Hollywood'. They will enjoy it. I did!
Great day for the children and adults, great shows, good food in the Arizona Falls Restaurant- definitely worth buying the ticket with the food included (an additional €11 for adults, €9 for children). Zoo is brilliant and the kids train is fun. Well worth the money, fantastic day had by all. Nick, Manchester, UK.
Third time I have been, the wild west show is still as fantastic as it was the first time. Beautiful scenery really gives that wild west feel.
