These Arab wells, built in the 11th century Jayran served as public supply to the population. They were located in the highest part of the Muslim city to facilitate its distribution, water came from Alhadra sources. Inside, covered by a thick layer of lime and Almagro for its waterproofing, include half-barrel brick vaults, reinforced with transverse arches.

Easter, April 16, all the restaurants full and difficult to find table. Strolling through the Center we saw by chance a sign in 'menu of the day' at the door of the "Aljibes Arabs" and decided to enter. The entrance of the cistern was closed, I guess that to be festive but being illuminated and well visible, was detail, care and cleaning, so visit them next time we go to Almeria, the month of November. We decided to go up to the terrace and not had much clientele, so we were to eat something. The waitress, sorry that not now remember its name, was simply perfect; a close, familiar but equally professional treatment. We made some recommendations and we decided to ignore it. We take: 1.-a serving of tomato raf with avocados and tuna belly that was great; the tomato had a flavor as did not remember. 2. a ration of mullet that were very fresh. 3. a portion of Octopus Pil-Pil which was not too bad although somewhat hard Octopus. 4. a portion of oxtail which "was for dipping bread", delicious, tender, gelatinous; simply magnificent. Before all this we take a few beers and all accompanied by a good CAP, which would highlight "paella" which had a spectacular flavor. Desserts, fried milk, a natural pineapple and cream with hot chocolate mille-feuille. Price, very normal, to 2.50 beers the Cup and 2.30 shank, raf 14,00 EUR tomato, red mullet to 14, 00 euros, Octopus to 20,00 euros and 15,00 EUR oxtail. Pineapple to 3.50, 5.00-fried milk and strudel to 5.00 euros. Work in hotels and professional deformation I fixed in details and commend the staff because they were very attentive to all the tables, are noticed not stressed and they kept meet. Congratulations to the entire team and thank you for your good do; We will see.

  • Hard to find but worth it. Sumptuous décor and it is possible to attend a flamenco show some nights.

  • I have not seen the tanks, but I caught it top of open building, in which one can find an Association of Flemish where you can eat well in a very pleasant atmosphere. Special mention to the sympathy of one of the waiters.
