  • It really worth having a look a the cathedral, really beautiful place, very unusual as well! Some of the statues are moves for the Easter procession though.  more »
  • Lucky to see this as it only opens at mass times 7 pm in the evening, not sure of daytime openings. Great choir and lovely experience.  more »

  • Beautiful on the outside and large inside with a nice structure of very high arches as well as side chapels.
  • It is almost hidden, as it's tucked away in the plaza. The inside has beautiful, tall ceilings and a courtyard to walk around. Obviously, services are held in Spanish and locals also speak Catalán.
  • Glorious church, plain on the outside, grand on the inside. You are free to wander around when there is no service going on
  • Worth a visit. The Basilica further on is more ornate.
  • This is part of the lesser-known Alicante, the oldest Alicante, that deserves to be discovered. We can start behind the Cathedral or the City Council and search streets ascending as Saint Nicholas or St. Augustine, that lead us to old squares like Quijano or del Carmen, with polychrome façades, with peculiar balconies and lookouts. If we continue climbing almost arrived at the Santa Cruz quarter, with its narrow streets - San Roque, Deputy Auset, San Rafael...-, its tiles of Saints and the Holy face, its white houses, with floral and lattice windows.
