  • This well-preserved fortress but I think that the best thing is the guided tour of the hidden city, my teenage son is what most liked him throughout the trip. It is a stunning picture from the road. There is parking inside the attraction.

  • The place were very pleasantly surprised since the beginning. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon, after 15:30 Tuesdays the entrance is free. Parking at the site. Rental of audio guides with child adjustment. It is beautiful, still more beautiful when you know its history. Very well constructed, they are still working. Preparenle time, were about 4 hours. At 18 o'clock in the Abicial Church put a curious mounting. Highly recommended, not you disappoint them.

  • It has unbeatable views of all around, watching Sierra Nevada. Parking is ample, so it is advisable to leave the car there himself. Offers guided tours on weekends, which I recommend because the explanations are very interesting. There are areas that are better and others worse, for historical reasons, but, in general, it is worth going around it. The Church and the tower are fine. Interesting question, as from the parking lots of the castle there are indications that lead directly to the parking of the historic centre, without any loss.

  • Great. Really enjoyed the hilltop. You can also then drive though town to the hills opposite for a view back.
  • La Mota is like the Alhambra without the crowds. After years of work and millions of euros of investment La Foraleza de la Mota is the proudest landmark of Alcala. It has looked after the town for centuries, and will continue to do so for many more.
  • The best time to see it is probably in the morning or before the sunset. We were happy to see the village from the fortress while everything was still in mist :)
  • Beautiful, interesting, well preserved/restored and cheap (6€). Expect a 2 to 3h visit. Great place!
  • Very well-preserved castle, it's bigger than it seems (3-4 hours/visit).
