  • Dedicated to St. Magdalene María, dating back to 1514 and is made in Gothic style. As a curiosity, it is the only Temple in the world, along with the Church of San Pedro de Lovaina (Belgium), who has the title of Church magisterial, which meant that all his canons had to be doctors of theology. It has an interesting helical staircase that leads to the tower and cloister. The visitation schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 14.00 hours and from 16.00 to 20.30 hours; Saturday, 09.00 to 13.00 hours and from 18.00 to 20.30 hours; Sundays and public holidays, from 09.00 to 13.30 and 18.00 to 20.30 hours. Visit to the Cathedral, cloister and Museum is priced at €1; the ascent to the Tower, €3; the visit with audioguide, € 3 or guided and the combined catedral+torre, €5.

  • The Cathedral is normalita although it is one of the only 2 cathedrals master of the world is pretty but is already. Curious the tomb of Cisneros. You go looking for a mole and you are stunned with such stony humility. The best, the climb to the tower. You can see all Alcaa and surroundings. The towers of Madrid, of the PC are. Castilla. Up the Hill a little bit. Spiral, of all the life ladder, but worthwhile.

  • Due to the multiple destruction that has lived and corresponding reconstructions, we are before a temple on the outside, containing various styles including the herreriano, inside, we appreciate some Gothic vestige and the most interesting relics of the martyrs children Justo and Pastor in the crypt next to the rock where they were martyred. It is called magistral, because all their canons, had to be licensed in letters and theology, so almost all came from the Complutense University.

  • Open most of the day. Only two euro to go to the top of the tower. No English speaking staff but it is a very straightforward Church. There are audio guides available. Daily mass at 10:00 am and 7:30 pm. 1:00 pm mass during the school year. The body of San Diego de Alcala is here in the second alcove. The Statue of the patroness of Alcala is here as well, Nuestra Senora del Val.
  • Cathedral of the young Diocese of Alcalá. It brings together various of its reconstruction eclecticism after be destroyed during the Civil war during the little resources with evident enthusiasm and art of those who made it with affection. The highlight is perhaps the echo of being a temple I live with a great activity, though it is worth only go to see it. It is quite possible that the sporadic visitor is one of the many picturesque activities carried out throughout the year, such as activities of fraternities, steps, concerts or more special masses such as the consecration of new priests performed in this Cathedral

  • Alcalá de Henares downtown is the main tourist area of our city and the magisterial Cathedral is one of the main tourist centers of the city in the middle of the Santos Niños square. It is a tiny but very picturesque Cathedral which cannot be see if you come to visit the city

  • Historic landmark in Alcala de Henares which have to visit it, since it is closely linked to the history of the city. There lie the remains of Justo and Pastor. But I do not understand art or architecture, nor am I religious. It is not something of interest to me
