  • If you're in the vicinity, or as my castles like, no doubt the castle in Alburquerque is worth. It is in a great State and is decorated quite rightly. It is used also as a cultural space. The girl who taught us was lovely, telling us the history of the Castle and even recommending nearby. The visit is free.

  • Alburquerque Castle, also known as Luna's Castle by one of its most famous owners, the powerful Álvaro de Luna, Constable of Castile, and master of the order of Santiago is located in the Sierra de San Pedro and is one of the medieval castles highlights of La Raya. After the Civil War it was rebuilt, so it is now in an excellent state of preservation, though there are too many dependencies which are not of the era. Many castles that exist in Extremadura and Portuguese stripe Alburquerque's is perhaps the most interesting, since the journey through the various units makes you imagine how it would be life in the middle ages. Like children very much, but in some areas must go hand in hand. The visit is guided to the established hours, and is free of charge. Residents of Albuquerque got is not to commit the attack on the castle which was planned, with the installation of a guesthouse inside, even with lifts. However, against the bulwarks of the 18th century that there is next to the Castle, it seems that Yes is has accomplished the bombing. In any case, the castle is worth a visit which, to be guided, provides a good understanding of what was a castle in the middle ages.

  • This is a great castle for exploring. We were too late to go inside (weren't even sure if you can) but the walls are open at all times. Be warned. Only go if you have a good head for heights and don't...  more »

  • We loved this castle. One of the most beautiful and best preserved I have ever visited, if not the best. We loved the tour, very detailed and with full availability by the lady who conducted the visit! Very well maintained, with a phenomenal view. Site does not pay, we leave a little help for maintenance/local expenses. Hard times for opening doors, only with guided tour. 11:00; 12:00; 1:00 pm; 5:00 pm; 6:00 pm. I strongly recommend!

  • Very rebuilt Castle of s. 13th with an enormous Gothic arch inside which is miles from Albuquerque. You can visit with guide and is free. A luxury. The walls are breathtaking and unique view of the environment. At the foot of the Jewish quarter which is worth visiting. In the tourist office which is located in the Centre you can realize free tour also.

  • A beauty of a castle with curiosities and unique things that don't know you to explain. A disappointment of guide... a brunette... explanations jousting and missed you to give us a kick in the ass out.

  • Nice very well preserved Castle. Free guided visits to the 11, 12 and 13: 00 and in the evening. As paste, guide that explained it was going too fast and spoke softly.
