  • I start saying that you surprised me greatly the visit, perhaps not expecting much, I left happy. Entry costs 2 euros. Visit the site of what was the castle of the House of Alba, which remains an imposing Tower of homage and the foundations of the rest of the Castle. You can climb the Tower, and upstairs there is a vantage point with a wonderful view over Alba, the Tormes and surroundings. On the first floors there are exposed various pictures, portraits, remains have been found of the Castle, and a guide explains the trajectory of the Alba, especially of the III Duke Fernando Álvarez de Toledo, with what one understands his importance in the history of Spain, and the magnificent and majestic which was the Castle, which is very little and you can guess so much grandeur. Highly recommended.

  • It's a stunning tower with the best view of all Alba de Tormes and its surroundings. Forced your visit if we went through the place.

  • Just remains of the parent Castle of the House of Alba, but if you reach the town is interesting to pay the entrance fee to this site to see the remains which are the foundations of the fortress and climb to the top of the tower for a magnificent landscape of the town and its surroundings, with the omnipresent Tormes. In addition, the visit is conducted by a guide that explains the history of the building and of the origin of the Alba, focusing on Fernando Álvarez de Toledo y Pimentel, third Duke of Alba, general of the armies of Carlos I and Felipe II. In the interior of the Tower include a damaged statue of the aforementioned Duke and a fresco painted in the ceiling in remembrance of military victories.
