  • We visited the place 20 years ago and already impressed us then. It is a church carved into the rock over time. We visited with Santa María La Real Foundation and recommend it, as they explain the middle ages like no one else. The town celebrates the Festival the first Sunday of August and they have invited us. Make a giant paella for all visitors... so we will have to go!

  • One of the best examples of Rupestrian Church/chapel that can be seen, can be found in the small town of Olleros of Pisuerga... It seems lie to that degree of perfection could get the hermits, digging, with media of the 10th century, in which approximately was drilled in sandstone. It has two ships, with their small apses, one occupied by the primitive Chapel, the other as a sacristy. And at the height of perfection, it has a small choir, which is accessed by a wooden staircase. The best qualifying occurs to me, is spectacular.

  • Gorgeous, unique, excavated in the rock, on a vertical wall, with great detail and no doubt art. A gift of our ancestors.

  • Very nice Church carved into the sandstone rock. Love the Guide explain its origins and evolution. You have very nice and layers and deposits can be seen in the rock. In its surroundings there are tables with benches for picnicking. Loved the children. It visits fast to a church with 1,000 years of history that is out of the ordinary.

  • Beautiful church in a cave with a lot of history. To visit it you have to go get the Guide bar of the village. It is a joy to hear him speak and learn a little more about our history. The entrance is also 1.2 euros so is a must-see if you are in the area. In summer it is advisable to book.

  • Although something is misguided, is worth a visit to this church rock, excellent state of conservation. Dating back to medieval times, when the hermit occupied caves in the area to reside and do penance, although to throughout the centuries has experienced numerous changes. You have to order at the bar to open the us guide, well versed in the monument. It's worth the time.
