Daewangam Park, Ulsan

4.5
The oceanside grounds of Daewangam Park boast expressive rock formations, sculpted over a millennia of wind and waves. A 1 km (0.6 mi) trail takes you through picturesque forests of pine, cherry trees, magnolias, camellias, apricots, and forsythia to the waterfront, where well-maintained boardwalk pathways help you navigate the dramatic geology of the coast. Be sure to bring a warm layer, as the weather can be blustery; if you get hungry head to the entrance for some cafes and amenities. Put Daewangam Park into our Ulsan road trip planning tool and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • It was one of the destination in our wish list during Korea's trip. I will never forget the experience. We took sweet 3 hours to reach the bridge. Totally satisfied with the view!  more »
  • With a beautiful view of the ocean and rocks are created where you can see. The recent expansion of conveniences, such as a parking space for expansion. It's just not known nationally as much pity. If you can see the beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring. In summer, the sea breezes can be fitted. Others are highly recommended.

  • Small stretch of coastline with impressive history and stunning sea views. The park is beautiful with lots of well marked paths and tree cover leading down to a small coastal path that has an outcropping of rocks connected by a bridges. There is a local legend of a king who was buried here and who now prevents seaweed growing on the rocks as he defends his country. The views and photo opportunities are numerous and depending on the time of day a large number of ships on the horizon. Well worth a visit.
  • Great scenery, but really windy on the way I went. Lots of cafes, a few restaurants, plenty of restrooms. Great for families with kids. Plan on spending at least an hour or two here. You have to walk from the parking to the ocean, and want to have time to enjoy the scenery.
  • On sunday very full, but very nice place. Was a good sunny day, you can walk to the lighthouse, after in any shop a coffee or ice/ iceberry drink. Good area.
  • Captivating clean blue sea splashing on the rising rocks creating serene sounds great placevto unwind a pleasant walk with family in the air soaked in pine tree sift aroma and fresh sea breeze love to be here
  • Daewangam Park is perfect for a day trip. The park is beautiful, with full views of Ulsan and the Pacific Ocean. It has several trails which can be navigated with little effort. Bring your kids, friends and camera because this site has something for everyone.
