Times Square Mall, Seoul

4.1
#14 of 97 in Shopping in Seoul
In addition to a multitude of department stores, Times Square Mall features one of the largest permanent 35 mm cinema screens in the world. After catchijng a film at the cinema, check out the biggest bookstore chain in Korea, or shop in the country’s largest and oldest discount store chain--E mart. Recharge in one of the many lush gardens, terraces, and by the soothing water fountains. Finish the day with dinner in one of the mall's restaurants or fast food outlets. If you're looking for healthier food, visit Seven Springs, which serves plenty of vegetables. The mall offers parking spaces, although you'll have to pay. • I felt the ambience of Yeongdeungpo something different brightness and colorfulness. Sparkling clean room too light but learned a great discomfort and a part of the station.

  • Really enjoyed this mall. It has absolutely everything and there are many western stores for those who may be struggling finding clothes in their size. Make sure to visit the promenade/park area on Floor 5! There is a large hidden staircase you must climb there, but the view is fantastic! The CGV cinema is great there, too!
  • One of the biggest mall in the city, a full fledged lifestyle complex with shops, entertainment, restaurants, supermarket and world class CGV cinema (world largest screen!). From luxury brands of o high-end shops, include also various leasure spaces, overall an excellent place to spend the day 👍
  • Wow! Is this place new?! Spacious, clean and international... Not the usual nationalistic malls.. :) 《TaN》
  • Wide selection of upscale stores along with great electronics and variety stores on the lower floors. Arcade on the 4th is worth hacking out, as is the movie theater with the world's largest screen.
  • Times square mall is huge and offers something for everyone. Electromart in the mall is amazing.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
