#12 of 45 in Parks in Seoul
One of the city's biggest parks, Seoul Forest features evergreen scenery that creates a perfect backdrop for peaceful walks through an area sheltering 100 different kinds of animals, plus over 400,000 plant species, including 40 different types of roses. The former royal hunting grounds opened as a public recreational area in 2005, the park serves active locals who come here to exercise, cycle, and stroll with the family. Composed of five distinct areas, this green lung of the city boasts a bird observatory, a wetlands flower garden, a skate park, playgrounds, and many other indoor and outdoor venues. Lovely park for full day family trip. Has everything for a fun day right in the middle of the city. Eye catching sculptures, play areas, food outlets, flower shows, zoo, artistically engineered padestrian bridge and many more fun facts. Must visit place of soulful Seoul.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
