I have visited this place several times during my years in Seoul and had to get in one more before leaving. The questionable rides with their knockoff paintings are a trip to check out.  more »

Seoul children's Grand Park, which is located in an active. Admission is free and you can visit the Botanical Garden, Zoo's playground for children and a lot of love going! Imagine no too. It's also a glimpse of the big kid rides and I'm able to spend a good time with. Line no. 7, a short walk from the children's Grand Park station or subway line 5 is possible at achasan station.

Nice big park for younger and older children. There is a small portion with animals (like a zoo) which the children loved. There's an amusement park for older kids. Some places to eat on site without walking out, but don't expect much of the food! Overall pleasant place for kids to run around and expend their energy.

The area is huge and some parts are perfect for picnic with loved ones and family. It is nice to visit here during Spring season because it's full of Cherry Blossom inside and outside the area. Many attractions like garden, seabirds and other animals. They also have the big fountain near the entrance. We spent few hours here.

Its a piece of greenery amongst the busy seoul metropolitan life. Also, very clean and maintained. There are events that happen every weekend. Decent opening and closing times.

Giant! So much to do! I was disappointed that half the zoo was closed because of bird flu? I assume it is preventative but still annoying considering the zoo requires a decent walk to get to. I have also been to the childrens museum which is awesome! If you have kids or like the outdoors this is a must do.

Nice views and children playgrounds. There was a green house where different varieties of plants could be seen. Although the zoo were closed we enjoyed ourselves there very much.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
