Enjoy some fresh air at the mountaintop Namsan Park, one of the city's most popular areas for strolling, picnicking, and relaxing. Make your way up to the top of the 262 m (860 ft) peak via cable car to take in sweeping views over the capital's urban sprawl. Go for a leisurely wander around the network of walking paths crisscrossing the park and meandering through the area's wooded landscape. You'll find sport facilities for badminton, tennis, swimming, baseball, and more around the park, as well as a botanical garden, library, and cultural center. • This was a great alternative to taking the Namsan Cable Car. We enjoyed walking along the Seoul City Walls while checking out the great view of the city. Museum and displays along the way made it a....  more »
  • C ( 20.12.22 ) This park was one of Seoul's landmark. This park had cable car, tower and good trail. The road to top was well-managed and not steep, and had Seoul view with various angles. This park....  more »
  • I love walking up Namsan. In the different seasons you can see all the beautiful scenery and nature changing. It is nice to go here and hike up as it is a long walk but it isn't too strenuous. The...  more »
  • this is my dream, one day I can definitely go there
  • Nice place.. Good view of the city!
  • The trip up the hill is good for fitness. Many vista points with good views for Seoul. The area surrounding the Seoul tower is full of life and good scenery.
  • There is a free shuttle going up from Myeong dong and I would highly recommend everyone to take the shuttle as it is a rather long walk/long queue for the lift to the mid point. There is another long queue for the tram and another one for the Seoul tower. I don’t think the view worths the time spent (1.5 hours) in waiting, especially if you are with kids or elderly. If you ran out of places to go then you could consider this to kill time.
  • Lovely walk up to the tower but not easy to find the route - we had to ask twice for directions ( despite G Maps) and checking for signs. There is a cable car to the tower and several buses but enjoy the forests on the mountains while walking. It must be spectacular in autumn colours
