At Kyobo Book Store Gwanghwamun, peruse some 2.3 million volumes, including English-language books, as well as stationary and knickknacks. This flagship store breathed new life into the depressed Korean publishing industry when it opened in 1981, built beneath the headquarters of its parent company Kyobo. If you're looking for anything in particular, the store employs electronic categorization, allowing you to search for titles both in English and Korean, and English-speaking staff attend the information desks. • The country's leading Bookstore. Each is equipped with all of the books, especially by children, got a lot of children's books bring the kids prayed. More than a book to the library in the hardware. Sit and read a book with a lot of space, and you've got more than a book Café where you can relax. Gwanghwamun station and subway line 5 connected to accessibility.

  • I always make it a point to stop by and inhale the scent of new books. It's a bit short on space to sit and read but the atmosphere is cozy and the staff very helpful. Plus it's right of the square. G...  more »

  • Good selection of academic texts and popular books. Bit pricey. Good place to meet people. Great location. I always considered it my center in Seoul.
  • Well.... you've just never seen any book store like this... if you are not from Seoul.. There's a full on Book Store (the size of the NYC flagship Barnes & Noble) in the underground space between the subway station entrances... right in the financial district... Mostly Korean language... but a decent selection of English language books as well. Bought a copy of Emma Smith's book on the First Folio. It's worth checking this out for 10 minutes... but you will likely stay for an hour or more.
  • Awesome bookstore-- Probably the largest I've ever seen with so many different kinds of books in different languages. Whenever I visit Korea I always like to stop by to pick up a few things. This time I picked up some lesson books for my niece and nephew.
  • This place hold a variety of goods. This is of course a book store but you can buy pens, electronics to watches. This place offers things at a very good price and to prices that are way beyond what you can afford. So be prepared, take a deep breath and have a cup of coffee or food inside of the boon store then go back out and get shopping... ☺
  • One of the best book store in S.Korea! Not only Korean books but Japanese and English book! Also, it's kinda Entertainment complex including stationary, small electronics devices, gift, and snacks! Perfect for both Korean and foreign travelers :)
