Ihwa Mural Village, Seoul
(4.1/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Seated on the side of Mount Naksan, Ihwa Mural Village offers a quirky scene of traditional houses decorated with brightly colored painting. A success story for the 2006 Naksan art outreach project, the murals breathe new life into the village, nicknamed "moon village" due to its elevated proximity to the night sky. As you wander the steep rickety paths searching for your next mural, don't forget to look out over the skyline of Seoul. Maps are available to lead you to some of the more established murals and mosaics, although new works pop up all the time so keep your eyes peeled. Use our Seoul travel itinerary maker to arrange your visit to Ihwa Mural Village and other attractions in Seoul.

  • Well worth the climb. Plenty of cute art pieces and cafes. On the way to the village, you can get a great view of Seoul. I went around sunset and it was spectacular!
  • Lots of uphill and downhill routes. You may think twice if you are travelling with children or elderly. Wear sport shoes for this attraction. Nice view from the peak.
  • After going through a lot of the travel program in the 1500s for long, but if you dare to see this famous does not recommend the place. Rather, it is the University of gihaengeul a restaurant and more. Lots of Chinese are only ... Again, there is no peak murals, a unique experience. If you only see a couple want to take picture, but ...?
