  • Nothing particularly interesting not saw the usual shops, with the usual things. If you want to see how local shopjatsja, go-1 floor. Food search on all floors, but at most 5. Personally, I do not advise wasting time on it

  • Okay Mall, nothing out of the ordinary, but if you're looking for electronics so the range is wide. Fashion Department was great, a lot of designer clothes and relatively expensive. Not so much by the "big chains" in Sweden. Restaurant supply is relatively sparingly so I had recommended to eat outside.

  • Had lots of real people. Perhaps more surprising was that associated with the Yongsan station. So lots of restaurants is also a heck of a lot. Here I've seen visiting duty-free shops duty free among the most stuff. The fourth floor across the stores very be? "a wide variety of stores available.

  • A bad choice for visitors and foreigners in South Korea. Despite a good selection, customer service is appalling. Purchased a model kit to take back to the US as a gift for a family member, only to discover he already has it. I took it in to exchange for one he does not have, but the two young men working there refused an exchange. The kit was unopened and in original condition with original receipt, but they didn't care. No exchange. The reason this store gets 1 star is that the two employees were exceedingly rude to my wife, who is also Korean. She tried to explain why I didn't return within seven days but they refused to listen. They just pointed to the exchange policy posted by the register - all in Hangul - and talked to her as if she was stupid, in an abusive tone of voice. I had bought the kit 16 days ago and didn't want a refund, just an exchange. And, I can't read Hangul. But no matter, they told us I bought 16 days ago, so "tough luck." I help out in a large, West Coast hobby shop a friend of mine owns in the US, and we never, EVER, treat paying customers like this. When foreigners don't understand a posted policy or can't read the language, we work with them so that they leave, happy. We want return customers and for people to tell their friends about us. It appears that Korean business owners don't care about word-of-mouth reviews, a good reputation, or treating foreigners with respect or kindness. Needless to say we won't be buying from this Tamiya, ever again.
  • A huge mall with a lot of restaurants, supermarket and all kind of shops. You can find also a huge camera sections. Don't be afraid to try to make some deals with the camera sellers here. The mall is really well connected to the Yongsan train and metro station.
  • Extremely large complex with lots of electronics and restaurants. They even have a Studio Ghibli store inside. You can spend a full day here combing through all the stores.
  • This place we can find second hand and brand new electronic items. Second hand market is more popular and that items very good condition.
  • So many floors to explore. There is something around every turn. Great selection of shopping, food and drink, amd entertainment. The movie theater is absolutely amazing. There's also an E-mart and of course Yongsan train station. Easy access to walk to from or travel via taxi.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
