  • Not bad to just walk around and shop around. Prices are average, not the cheapest place to shop in South Korea. DDP and a few other attractions are nearby so it's nice to just walk around. Many things...  more »

  • A vast array of shopping centers and smaller shops. You can see a lot of repetition in clothing if you walk around the whole place, which is almost impossible. However there are a variety of unique designs from different clothing lines if you are into fashion. The busiest time is after midnight. You must have sufficient knowledge of this whole market to be able to navigate the place and find what you want for reasonable prices. Bargaining needed for many shopping places.
  • One of my fav spot everytime I visit Korea. Plenty of fake clothes and etc if you are into it. Good selections of Korean restaurants and paddlers where they open the door all night. Only drawback I experienced is that there are no decent, mid priced hotel around. It is either cheap or ecpensive 5 star hotel.
  • I quite liked this market, compared to Namdaewun anyways. Im particular , I liked the shoe market, where I purchased a pair of shoes for a negotiable price. There's also a beautiful stream by the shoe market which you should check out. Interestingly nam and dong sound similar to nan (South) and dong (East) in Mandarin. The Namdaewun market is located in the South while Dongdaemun is in the East!
  • Mist visit for any tourist visiting Seoul. Try all the food. Some might look strange or be unknown to you. Believe me thought it's all delicious!
  • This is a huge market, with a lot of merchandise. The aisles are narrow, with multiple floors. The quality varies, and the prices are not high. Recommended for one visit. Near the Dongdaemun metro station.
