Culture Station Seoul 284, Seoul

3.7
Seoul’s first subway station, Culture Station Seoul 284 serves as a multicultural space that features exhibitions, performances, seminars, and other events. In the 1920s, during Japanese colonial rule, a Tokyo professor, Tsukamoto Yasushi, designed the old station with a domed roof in a European style. The station was severely damaged in the Korean War, and the annexes to the north and to the south were added after the fighting finished. It closed down in 2004, after the construction of a new station, but reopened with its new purpose in 2011. • The first train station is just next to the Seoul station, retaining the original appearance, and changing into a cultural gallery, the side was originally elevated Fast road, this year, the body changes to let people can walk on the trail! Also become a new scene! You can come and take a walk, shoot a picture!

  • By the way, get to be a tourist destination Seoul station to come up with the herd when transferring from the time it's OK. Sounds and one building on history ... Now it's turned into a museum.

  • There are people who think I'm similar to Tokyo station, the street. In Tokyo the same staff, are made. An antique atmosphere such as the building of the Meiji era, is now obsolete as a gallery. Located in front of the major filming location for the drama, "unlife" Miceli building was reflected in a few background in drama

  • Great place to visit for architecture and history. Fabulous if you can catch an exhibit here.
  • a boring place to visit but nice architectures is a best place to shoot photo
  • Perhaps the old Seoul Station, known as the culture into the exhibition space. Free exhibition called quality not falling. Enough fun for a long time. A couple of photos of the work in the current exhibition and chapter. Bringing direct experience

  • ' Hello stranger ' came to see the exhibition. Also on display, the exhibition is a great place to place. Just outside, loudspeakers as you hear of a bustling religious organizations often stand in the way of exhibitions.

  • Connecting past and present a special place. The distinctive circular building still retains many of the exhibit through a variety of cultural sights and feel gives the distance.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
