Bugaksan Seoul Fortress, Seoul
Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
An oasis of nature surrounded by storied old walls, Bugaksan Seoul Fortress represents the perfect spot to escape from the bustling city. Scenic views of the city from different points make climbing the stone stairs worthwhile, while the fresh air from nearby mountains adds a natural touch to the experience. Make sure you bring your passport, as the military officers guarding the fort require some sort of ID for you to enter. This is a measure to prevent violent incidents, which have occurred at the site in the past. About this back also runs a part of the Seoul Fortress Wall. The area around Bugaksan is for a long time been closed for public, but is now open to publiekk. It's pretty steep and the road consists of many steep steps and that makes it a tough climb. Especially when the Sun is shining and it's warm. The walk that they recommend cost you soon 1.5 hours one way. We have not finished because it was too heavy for us. You may not take pictures except the spots where State indicated that it is allowed. If you want to climb this piece of the wall then you will have to take an ID proof. You have to register you on the basis of this evidence. The views of Seoul are beautiful. You come there not very easy. This is only possible by bus. Buses stop at the gate and 7212 1020, 7022 and it is not announced in English. The buses leave from the Gyeongbokgung (line 3) metro station above at Exit 3. If you go up, immediately right. The search takes some getting to the bus stop but there are plenty of people who can help you.show original
