63 City, Seoul

3.3
#105 of 530 in Things to do in Seoul
Head to the top of 63 City, Korea’s most recognized building, for magnificent views of the Hangang River and surrounding mountain ranges. The observation deck sits 250 m (819 ft) above the ground, atop a building with 14,000 glass panes thinly coated by 24k gold. An array of entertainment options await inside: international restaurants, a shopping mall, IMAX cinema, art museum, and even a large aquarium. If you’re in the mood for romance, take one of the observation elevators at night, when the Love Elevators allow couples to enjoy the ride to the observation deck alone. Opportunity to consider the city from a height. The 60 floor have binoculars and ability to sit on table Café and indulge in thoughts about high. Subway really, about 1 km away. Next building entrances, ticket purchase and high-speed elevator. What else is there to do? Oceanarium. You can go out and go to the River, there is a beautiful promenade with catamarans-swans and ship, which is followed by the river.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
