#12 of 45 in Parks in Seoul
At 낙산공원 / Naksan Park / 駱山公園, otherwise known as “camel mountain,” follow the path along the fortress wall to reward yourself with scenic views of the city after your short hike. One of the four guardian mountains of the capital of the Joseon dynasty--whose members used to come here to watch the sunset--the area was severely damaged under Japanese rule. In 2002, the mountain--which is actually a small hill resembling a camel hump--was declared a protected park in an attempt to preserve the remaining greenery. The park boasts a pavilion, an exhibition hall, and several squares, as well as badminton and basketball courts. • City walls in Joseon Dynasty still remain partially in Seoul. And this park is locating inside the remaining walls. - Locating on a hill, seniors may have difficulties. But, it's worthy of visiting wi...  more »
  • The town can be reached easily by using the bus. Seoul city night view is also a good place. It is not just the attractions outright.

  • So many exercise equipment here. Good for health because need to walking until u reach the top.
  • very nice high park in the center of Seoul, nice place to go on the clear sky day
  • it is my favorite park providing wonderful night view of Seoul. you can have a walk with your friend, exercise and have some chat in good vibe.
  • Had a nice night stroll. Very steep walk getting there but I think there's a bus that goes up so you don't have to walk like I did. Brilliant view of Seoul.
  • Good views to the city and even better if you go when it's dark. It's pretty high so the road to the top is pretty steep. Alternatively, you can also take a bus which goes all the way up.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
