Soesokkak Estuary, Seogwipo

3.9
#6 of 35 in Parks in Seogwipo
Take a laid-back cruise on a traditional wooden boat, or ride a water bicycle across the surface of Soesokkak Estuary. Originally named “lying down ox” or "Soedun" in Korean, the estuary offers interesting views of curious lava formations overgrown with pine trees. Watch “tewoo” (large traditional wooden rafts) being hauled across the estuary by a rope strung between the riverbanks, or ride on a transparent kayak, allowing you to see what’s beneath the water's surface. Stroll on the black sand beach along the lazy river, where the fresh water meets the ocean. Head to the beach cafe and taste the mandarin and orange ice cream, a local specialty made using fruit grown in the area. • Personally I think to that special one. The sea and fresh water between heugmorae and fresh water is clean and volcanic rock walls in addition to the points of harmony.

  • Transparent found a lot of people that the kayaking, was gone. I found a lot of people because of it, people are enjoying a vetting as nature would be better reduced Denis, I guess. Better than a good police officer would be filled with people. Freshwater-meets the sea. The beach is the hyeonmuami towards a weathered-looking thing? Think black sandbox. Because of the unique landscape seems to be loved. It's nice, cool views

  • Beautiful place. Absolutely stunning. I would say it's a must-see in Jeju-do. I give it 4 because they took away the kayaking and because the bus stop is like 30 minutes away by foot. So not exactly very easily accessible.
  • Scenic gorge with turquoise blue water. Nice walking path along the cliff. Black sand beach at its mouth. More of a side stop than its own destination. Only need about 30 min here.
  • Great for a short walk. Lots of surrounding cafes to enjoy and a couple gift shops as well. Doesn't seem suitable for swimming but I have seen a couple people learning what seemed to be standup paddleboarding.
  • Breathtakingly beautiful! What clear water it had! I wish it had full of water in sure that'd been slice of a heaven! I really appreciated the mini grand canyon like lol!!! Must visit ~~~ and it's free too
  • Extremely beautiful lake that leads out to sea. If you read this and have a chance, try to do glass-kayak. There are some vendors that lend you a kayak which is made of glass/plastic. So you see underneath your boat.
