Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web
Take a laid-back cruise on a traditional wooden boat, or ride a water bicycle across the surface of Soesokkak Estuary. Originally named “lying down ox” or "Soedun" in Korean, the estuary offers interesting views of curious lava formations overgrown with pine trees. Watch “tewoo” (large traditional wooden rafts) being hauled across the estuary by a rope strung between the riverbanks, or ride on a transparent kayak, allowing you to see what’s beneath the water's surface. Stroll on the black sand beach along the lazy river, where the fresh water meets the ocean. Head to the beach cafe and taste the mandarin and orange ice cream, a local specialty made using fruit grown in the area.
