  • Make sure you go early enough. Koreans are extremely cautious and the trials close far earlier than necessary so we did not make it to the summit. It is quite a nice trail and I highly recommend it.  more »
  • The course does get busy during mid-day. Arrive early if you wish to make it to the summit. If you travel in the afternoon, the park does not allow further hikers to access to mountain due to safety.....  more »
  • The routes to the top can be hard one route with lots of steps up is very steep most of the way. Both routes are uneven and it does take 5/6 hours to do. Make sure you carry water.  more »
  • Incredibly beautiful and fulfilling when you finally make it there. My knees are still sore but I am glad I did it 😊

  • Such an awesome sight. Hallasan is truly beautiful. Whether you are there for a hike or visiting the parks, the place is beautiful and the ride was pleasant. Roads are well maintained and signboards are clear so driving up as a foreigner is not an issue at all. If you are hiking, the entrance is free but parking is not.
  • Mt. Halla is the best mountain in Korea. Better pick a nice weather day and start to climb really early in the morning to look down all the scenary. They close down in the middle of the path at 2PM. If you start the longest course around 7~8 you'll be back by the afternoon. Not recommended for kids, it's a lot of walking.
