Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park, Paju

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web
Located where South Korea meets North, Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park makes up part of a larger site giving a glimpse into the history of the Korean War and life in the North through various photographs and artifacts. While the wider resort was established 1972 to promote the eventual reunification of the two countries, the sculptured landscape of this park was built in 2005 as part of the Global Peace Festival. Inspect several installation artworks, including Choi Pyung-gon'’s renowned “"Calling Unification,"” which depicts bamboo men walking uphill towards North Korea. In the wider park, observe over 400 photographs illustrating the reality of life in North Korea, as well as heavy artillery relics of the war, including a rusted train, shot full of holes. Add Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park and other attractions to your Paju trip itinerary using our Paju family vacation planner.

  • This is called the land of North Korea just across the gamdol laws, but the weekend only vaguely tension gets crowded with lovers, family picnics. Sanyeog is a town in the bus door. It's also fun to shoot, shoot a variety of sculpture, and even as an amusement park with a gazebo near the experience.
