Constructed of red brick, Jeondong Catholic Church honors the Joseon Dynasty Catholic martyrs, massacred on this site in the 18th century. Constructed in 1908 according to a design by Priest Poinel, the church combines Romanesque and Byzantine architectural styles to create a classical structure topped with three domed bell towers. You cannot enter the church, so stroll around the site's exterior and, if you can get past the crowds, try to take a peek from the entrance into the lavishly decorated interior. • A very nostalgic feel to the church. It's a really beautiful church. A pity there was no English service. It was amazing how once you are inside the church, you feel like you are in another dimension.
