Jeju Stone Park, Jeju

(130 reviews on the web)
Nature / Park
Educational Jeju Stone Park displays collections of interesting rock formations molded by nature itself. The park offers three courses to explore, each with its own charm. Take the first route to see the mother’s room exhibiting a rock formation whose shadows form a silhouette of a mother holding a child. The second course showcases typical thatched house-type structures, while the third route offers reproductions of traditional villages. Highlights include the displays of dead tree roots with interesting formations--some actually resemble animals. You can get an audio guide in English from the ticket office. • An outdoor gallery of stone sculptures. You can find a lot of Jeju stone icon, as they call it "Grandpa Stone". The park is very large, and not many visitors. An interesting place worth visiting .  more »
  • My six (6) year old son's imagination could really run wild here. We had a blast, plan for a 1/2 day. Chicken place across the street for the hungry.  more »
  • Not worth the entrance fee and time spent at the park. Unless you really have no other attraction sites to visit.  more »

  • Hidden gem of Jeju! A must visit.
  • Good design, to walk around after lunch
  • I enjoyed everything that can be seen within the Park, is very large and there are many things to see. I was like 3 hours, so much that when I left the Park already it was dark and all the visitors were gone, including the park staff. It is better to have read about the history of the island before going to the Park to be able to better appreciate everything you have. Feels awesome isolation from the rest of the city, you must be careful if one goes deep enough since by size, there are points where there is no signal or that few people visit and thus are as forgotten over time. It is a very nice place for nature and history that surrounds it, they have an excellent conservation of these archaeological remains. An excellent plan on family, as a couple or alone. Better to bring water and something to eat, it is very large and can give hunger, don't forget the camera. It is an unforgettable, highly recommended site if you are on the island of Jeju.
