Songdo Central Park, Incheon

(4.5/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Take a stroll through Songdo Central Park, a large public park that, covering almost 10% of its land, acts as the new city's green lung. The 41 ha (101 ac) park opened in 2009, and has become popular with local families and day-visitors from the capital, because of its scale, scenery, and the scope of its attractions. A patio to the east houses a number of cafes and small restaurants, while a man-made sea water canal winds its way through the park, with water taxis and canoes gliding along its surface. The wooded area provides a popular camping ground and hiking trails. • You can tell it is newly built, everything looks clean. When I went in October they also had the LED rose garden (the same ones that are at the DDP Museum in seoul) It is a nice place to take a stroll...  more »

  • It's a great Park that is absolutely beautiful to walk around in. Great place for kids as well as for adults. It was so nice around 5pm for pictures and a cool breeze but earlier is good too :-)
  • Total copycat of New York. Almost all of the city is copying NYC. South Korea is very desperate. There's one building too that looks a lot like One WTC, but in the end of the day... NEW YORK'S BETTER.
  • Nice stylish rooms, quiet area at the park, within walking distance thru the park to the more lively area with shops, restaurants, bars etc.
  • It's a shame this place doesn't know how to keep it looking nice. A few water sprinklers in the area would keep the place nice and green all year round. Instead, for many posts of the year, the place looks dead and baron. I guess green isn't as important to Koreans as European countries.
  • nice place... very peaceful and relaxing
