Learn about the history of the city at Gyeongju National Museum, largely dedicated to the time when Gyeongju served as the capital of the Silla Kingdom (57 BCE-935 CE). The museum exhibits around 3,000 artifacts from the era, including earthenware pots, golden crowns, belts, earrings, and weaponry. Along the way, you'll gain insight into the culture that made the fine artifacts on display, their funereal rites, system of governance, beliefs, and lifestyle. An outdoor exhibit area showcases facades from royal palaces and temples, as well as giant temple bells. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Gyeongju holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Gyeongju National Museum and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Went there today, saturday at about 3pm Miss Nami stopped to invite to a guided tour by Miss C.K (cookie). Don't be surprised if kids or even people interrupted the tour (no, they're not Chinese).
Provides a good insight into Korean history. Allocate about 3 - 4hrs for a visit. No restaurants nearby there is a 7/11 cafe inside.
Impressive to learn more about Korean culture, history, artifacts and artwork.
